It’s the last newscast of the 2014-2015 school year, and Sarah McGee and Madeline Montgomery lead the show with the latest Lipscomb and Nashville headlines. Mignonne Bryant takes us around the world in World News, Tom Jones has the weather, Carly Bergthold provides the Hollywood scoop and Gemikal Prude gives national and local sports updates. Lumination’s Tom Jones has the latest on changes for the men’s basketball team, and Leslie Newman has the story on Lipscomb’s first ever Goatfest which involved Metro Police, a bouncy house and goats, but all for a good cause. A Lipscomb faculty member had the honor of translating prisoner of war letters from World War II. Lumination’s Colleen Casner had the chance to talk with Prof. Charlie McVey about what he discovered from the letters. By now you’ve probably heard the phrase “a ring by spring” many times around campus. But what happens if you don’t have a ring on your finger by spring? Lumination’s Erin King finds out. Also, Charlie Bateman gives you a look into the world of Lipscomb sports. The Allen Bell Tower has been a landmark on Lipscomb’s campus since 1999, but lately it has been much quieter than usual. Lumination’s Colleen Casner finds out why. This spring break, Lipscomb missions mobilized over 400 students to 21 trips to different parts of the world. The longest running spring break trip travels to the City of Children, an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico. Reporter Erin King reflects with team members on the experience. Radnor Lake with all its natural beauty is very much an iconic part of Nashville among locals and Lipscomb students.
