Question of the Week: Who will win the Super Bowl?

This year’s Super Bowl is a rematch of the 2008 NFL competition between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots. Lipscomb’s men’s basketball game Friday against Belmont has sold out.  A limited number of standing room only tickets are being sold through LipscombTickets.com for $10 each.  The game is set to tip at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on CSS, ESPN3, and 102.5 The Game. Read the full story

Hispanic Achievers program diversifies campus

The Latino population in Nashville is growing, and Lipscomb is the first local university to reach out to Latino students by offering grants of up to $22,000 per student for those who meet the general admissions requirements. Read the full story

Part 1: The Pinnacle of The Program, Lipscomb’s rise to basketball dominance

The 1980s and 90s were years to remember for the Bisons. The team won its first NAIA National Championship in 1986 behind performances from the likes of Greg Caudle, Anthony Jones and Tom Kelsey. In 1990, the team played in front an NAIA record of 15,400+ at Memorial Gym. The Bisons won that game, too, 124-107 against Belmont. Read the full story
